Kremlin says Russian society rallies around president
MOSCOW, Feb 20 (PRIME) -- The Russian society has consolidated around the president in spite of external pressure, and the economy is standing firmly on its feet, spokesman for the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.
"This is an entire set of factors. You see, the main theme is the responsible moment that we are going through, a very difficult one, but the society is consolidating and is consolidating around the president," Peskov said.
The Russian Public Opinion Research Center said earlier that 79.1% of the respondents trusted President Vladimir Putin and 76% approved of his work.
